Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Learning & Development Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a corporate role where the ideal candidate will have ownership over Training & Development at a company-wide level. This role is critical to ensuring that all staff have the skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively and to support individual and company growth.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Your roles and responsibilities as the Learning & Development Project Manager would encompass the following:

• Training Needs Analysis: Work closely with department heads and managers to assess employee training needs, identify skill gaps, and industry advancements.
• Training Program: Develop a comprehensive training program utilizing an established training platform (Trakstar Learn), internal and external training sources, and diverse topics to ensure that employees receive necessary onboarding, technical, technology, safety, leadership, communication and soft skills training in accordance with company, industry and job title requirements and to support individual and company growth
• Training Materials Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and update training materials, manuals, and online resources to align with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements in conjunction with the program design.
• Program Budget: Develop, manage, and update the budget for the training program encompassing all costs from design through delivery.
• Program Delivery: Coordinate, schedule, and manage the program delivery in conjunction with Peer Meetings and other company events. This includes uploading content to the company training platform (Trakstar Learn).
• Onboarding & Orientation: Assist with the onboarding process utilizing an established training platform (Trakstar Learn).
• Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all training activities, including attendance, certifications, and outcomes using the company platform (Trakstar Learn). Prepare reports for management on training completion rates, effectiveness, and compliance.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics. Implement improvements and best practices to enhance training delivery. Update program as necessary, but at a minimum of once per year, to address employee and management requests and developments in technology, technical and other industry changes.
• Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and training organizations to source relevant training programs or certifications needed by employees.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in training and development may be considered
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in training coordination or a related role, preferably in a construction or industrial setting.
• Skills:
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily office-based with occasional travel to construction sites or regional offices to assess on-the-job training needs and assist with safety training needs.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a Project Executive or Senior PM, your roles and responsibilities as Project Manager would encompass the following:

• Contract Administration – Has a sound knowledge of the requirements of owner’s contract, including insurance, bonds, fees, notifications, schedules, reporting, and costs.
• Cost Management – Demonstrates the ability to understand and analyze financial reports, status reports, labor, and other job-related reports to effectively control costs and maximize profitability.
• Schedule Management – Has a complete working knowledge of project scheduling. Has demonstrated the ability to implement and maintain the project schedule, including development, updating, effectively communicating with the team, and assisting field in management of the schedule.
• Quality Management – Taking an active role in the development and execution of the Project Quality Management Plan, in strict adherence with contract documents.
• Safety Management – Exhibits an unwavering commitment to safety, including taking part in weekly safety meetings and taking preemptive measures to ensure safe work practices.
• Relationship Management – Serves as a representative for White Construction by establishing and maintaining client and peer relationships, attending industry networking events, and fostering business opportunities.
• Communication Skills – Have an ability to convey your message both verbally and in writing in a professional, intelligent, and concise manner.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 6+ years’ experience in similar construction project types

Estimator Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated, on multiple projects, expertise in all aspects of project estimating from project pre-planning thru commissioning/closeout.
• Proven track record of successful estimating performance as measured by internal customer satisfaction, absence of project disputes based on budget/estimating problems, profitability, timely completion, project documentation, project transition from estimating to operations and estimating staff development.
• Analyze architectural plans, blueprints, and project specifications to prepare accurate estimates for drywall projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and data.
• Calculate material quantities and labor costs required for each project.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials and construction methods to ensure cost-efficiency and quality.
• Prepare detailed and competitive bids and proposals for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and contractors to address questions and provide clarifications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Construction related field.
• Excellent writing, communication, and organization skills.
• Positive, enthusiastic, and energetic attitude.
• Self-starter, results driven and able to work independently.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders to foster trust and partnership.
• Ability to multi-task and is comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
